When the realization of the impending winter is shown by the cold dark and rainy view from my window. A sense of foreboding melancholy overwhelms me. So I do what I always do I run away from the rain and the thought of what lies ahead – I seek solace from my books. From The Hua Hu Ching ( The Unknown Teachings of Lao Tzu) by Brian Walker.
Seventy-Six
Who can save the world?
Perhaps one who devotedly follows these teachings, who calms her mind, who ignores all divergence, who develops a high awareness of the subtle truths, who merges her virtue with the universal virtue and extends it to the world without expectation of reward.
She will be indeed the savior of the world.
I ask you how can you stay in and complain about the weather after reading that?
So I’m off to make the world a better place, or at least my small part of it.
Namaste,
Ginnie
